Fortive Corporation

From ReportWarehouse, the free investment-report repository

Fortive Corporation is an American industrial technology company that designs, manufactures, and markets professional instrumentation, facility and asset lifecycle software, gas detection and worker safety solutions, and healthcare sterilization and clinical productivity systems, generating $4.16 billion in revenue from continuing operations in fiscal 2025. The company was spun out of Danaher in 2016 and completed its own separation of the Precision Technologies segment into Ralliant Corporation in June 2025, emerging as a leaner two-segment enterprise built around the Intelligent Operating Solutions and Advanced Healthcare Solutions platforms.

This is a story about a post-spin simplification that comes attached to an ambitious growth strategy — and a management team buying back its own stock with conviction while the market sorts out what the remaining businesses are worth. The Fortive Accelerator framework, unveiled at the June 2025 Investor Day, promises faster organic growth, disciplined capital allocation, and restored investor trust after several years of missed expectations under prior leadership. Three quarters into "New Fortive," the early scorecard is encouraging: core growth has accelerated, margins are expanding, and $1.8 billion in share repurchases have retired over 10% of diluted shares outstanding. The file turns on a single question: whether the growth initiatives funded by cost savings and cultural renewal can outrun the gravitational pull of a mixed industrial macro and persistent hospital capital spending caution.
