Quanta Services, Inc.

From ReportWarehouse, the free investment-report repository

Quanta Services, Inc. is an American specialty contractor that provides infrastructure solutions to the electric power, renewable energy, communications, and pipeline industries, generating $28.5 billion in revenue in fiscal 2025. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company has grown through more than 200 acquisitions into what is now the largest specialty electrical infrastructure contractor in the United States, employing roughly 69,500 people, of whom approximately 36% are covered by collective bargaining agreements.

This is a story about a company positioned at the intersection of three of the most capital-intensive buildouts underway in the American economy: grid modernization, data-center electrification, and the energy transition. Quanta does not own the assets it builds — it is the contractor that strings the transmission lines, erects the substations, lays the underground conduit, and wires the hyperscale data centers. Its value proposition rests on being the partner utilities and technology companies call when these projects are too large, too complex, or too labor-intensive to self-perform. The question the file turns on is whether the premium the market assigns to this role — roughly 75.6 times trailing earnings — reflects durable competitive advantage or a cyclical enthusiasm for anything touching the electrification theme.
