The Williams Companies, Inc.

From ReportWarehouse, the free investment-report repository

The Williams Companies, Inc. is an American energy infrastructure company that owns and operates over 32,000 miles of interstate natural gas pipelines, 35 processing facilities, and natural gas storage assets across 24 states, handling roughly one-third of all U.S. natural gas. Headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma and tracing its roots to 1908, the company generated $11.95 billion in revenue and $7.4 billion in GAAP EBITDA in fiscal 2025. Its crown jewel is the Transco pipeline system, a 10,000-mile artery that moves natural gas from the Gulf Coast to the Eastern Seaboard and is currently in the midst of the largest expansion cycle in its history.

This is a story about an incumbent midstream franchise funding a transformation. Williams is betting roughly $7 billion on behind-the-meter natural gas power generation for data centers — a business it calls Power Innovation — while simultaneously expanding Transco, building an LNG export pipeline, and maintaining a 52-year dividend growth streak. The investment is large enough that it temporarily stretches the balance sheet beyond management's own leverage target. The file turns on a single question: whether the Power Innovation platform earns the returns management promises before the elevated capex cycle exhausts investor patience.

The stock has reflected the mix of optimism and unease that surrounds that question. After reaching an all-time high of roughly $80 in May 2026, shares pulled back to around $70 by early June, pricing in some skepticism about execution risk and leverage even as the Q1 2026 print delivered record adjusted EBITDA.
